Hey Guys! I am Soul has a new cover! Also, you can get it for 99cents now through the 28th. Special thank you to Chris for letting me invade his blog 🙂
It’s been a long time. I miss you guys! But I will be returning real soon. Until then, I have news.
I am Soul is my latest collection of poetry and it released at the end of December but to be honest, I was never too fond of the cover. Good thing I’m an Independent Publisher! It’s never too late to improve and I can change whatever I want. That said I’d like to introduce you to the new cover image for I am Soul and it will be reflected online soon. (Keep in mind it will take some time to be reflected on Amazon and other retailers so you may still see the old cover.)
To celebrate, I am Soul will be on Sale for the ENTIRE month of February! That’s right, you can grab it for as low as $0.99 from now through the 28th and if…
It’s August people and that means The WATCH RWISA (RAVE WRITERS – INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY OF AUTHORS) WRITE Showcase Tour is on and popping and I am honored to help to introduce to you some amazing writers this month.
She whispers her intricately woven ideas into my mind,
But her delicate strength is no match for
The hills of anxiety and the mountains of insecurity
That obstruct her path to freedom.
Before her words can reach my tongue,
They unravel into shreds of confusion,
Left unspoken.
If only the written word and the spoken word
Could meet…
They would live in perfect harmony.
But alas…
It is not meant to be,
Neither willing to leave her domain,
Each content to dance alone,
And I…
I am stuck in the middle,
Pulled in both directions,
Reveling in the comfort of the written word,
Needing the spoken word to survive.
But still I dream
Of the day when my words will intermingle
And a new love affair can be born.

First, I want to thank everyone who supported this contest. Whether you re-blogged or shared this across social media or participated, thank you.
I want to give a special thanks to Colleen Chesebro for allowing me space on her blog to host this and for promoting it in her weekly poetry features.
As you all know I have just released a new book and am just getting in from travel. It has therefore been a challenge to promote this contest and the book simultaneously. While I did not time the contest well, I am excited to have had the opportunity to do it and look forward to reviewing the entries and announcing our grand prize winner.
The contest is now officially over. I would extend it but honestly, it is not a good time. There are some family things to take care of and more travel in the near future. However, this is the first of many. My hope is to do this at least once a year, introducing to you more and more talented artists.
Before you tuck in for the week, I want to remind you of some important things that are going on. First, with the Renaissance release date coming up I will not be very present in the days to come. However, you will see me around so do keep your eyes open. I’ll still be reading and commenting on your blogs and all that good stuff. After release I will take a short break before getting back on the grind. I still have to get Book Two ready for the December release but I intend on taking some time off first.
Poetry Contest
If you have not already heard, I am hosting my first poetry contest on Colleen’s Blogwith some amazing prizes. Please do head on over to see how you can participate. I will be doing more promo posts for it but in the meantime, head on over. Also, if you have any questions please do not hesitate to inform me. I also appreciate as much promo of the contest as possible just remember:
It will help us if you could promote the original post. Not this post but the one on
I have not been promoting this much, I admit. Part of the reason is that I did not time it well. In the future, I intend on using a better program and being more organized (didn’t mean for everything to be so close). BUT, there is still room to win!
Fifteen people have already entered for a chance to win a signed paperback copy of Renaissance with a matching bookmark and my author seal. That’s not all. Winners will also win a $10 Amazon Gift-card. I am choosing two winners so go ahead and jump on it.
CLICK HERE to enter but hurry. There are only 3 days left!
Thunderclap
If you have not already supported my Thunderclap, there is still time. I am EIGHT people (at this writing) away from my goal. It’s free and only takes a second. Thanks so much everyone for the support.
UPDATE: I have made my goal! If you would like to still support, you can. There’s still time left on the clock which means from now I can gather as much extra support as possible before the big day.
CLICK HERE to support with Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr or all three (I move up three points when you use all three).
If you would like to learn more about what Thunderclap is,CLICK HEREfor my post and why you should support me. (Also keep in mind that after the campaign I am publishing the results and my thoughts on this blog. I am saving my data to share with you. Should authors use it? Or no? I’ll share my experience. Stay tuned.)
