Tampa Indie Author Book Convention

by Kyle Perkins

A little back story about the convention, as well as Virginia Johnson and I. In January of 2016, I became an author, and shortly after, Virginia became my PA. So, we had to navigate the indie world together, like two baby deer learning to walk. At first, like all people getting into this business, we were super optimistic. Who wouldn’t be? I published a book. Not many people can say that they have the patience for that. Writing a book is a big deal, it’s sharing a piece of your soul with the world, and asking the world to judge it. We have always received great feedback on our work, and grew to love the community…

Then, we started learning of the inherent flaws in a predominantly online business. Setting aside catfishing models, shady PAs, and plagiarism, we noticed a huge problem within our community. It was…

Like Me on Facebook

So, yes. I’m back on Facebook. Well, sort of. My personal page is currently inactive but I had to edit my business page for business purposes and have decided to leave it up (for business purposes). At least temporarily as I prepare to release another book.

If you have not already liked it, please stop through and LIKE Literary Korner Publishing. I don’t post a lot but I will keep it up long enough to post updates on the book. I have also added a few events.

For those of you at work or in route, you can always find it on my blog sidebar as well (under the comments where it used to be).

Also, do not forget to explore The Author Media Kit in my sidebar. I will be updating it soon but it has all my social media handles (I’m not active on all of them but I have a presence there) and ways in which you can contact me.

Thanks so much and as always, your support is golden!

Have You Stumbled Upon Me Yet?

bitmoji978278283

OK, that was whack LOL.

But, I am finally on StumbleUpon and thought I’d take this time to do some shameless self-promotion.

I don’t have much of my own post up yet (because I just started) but I will start to drip feed posts on that platform when I share my posts across the others. (You can too! Just Stumble Me using the share button at the bottom there).

This also means more exposure for those authors of my Book Reviews…yesss.

You can find me here: http://www.stumbleupon.com/stumbler/Yecheilyah

Now go, carry on with your day and spread the word!

5 Mistakes Authors Make on Social Media

Wow, this is absolutely on point.

A Writer's Path

slip-up-709045_640

by Michael Cristiano

I thought writing a novel was the hard part. I thought endless drafting and editing and proofreading involved the most work when it came to being a writer.

I was wrong. My debut novel has been on sale for a little less than a month, and I came to the conclusion very early on in its release that writing it was the easy (and far more enjoyable) part. Why? you ask.

Marketing. Marketing is a hard and seemingly endless process. Why is it so hard?

Time is running out.

Who is coming to Tampa this summer?? I’ll be there, let’s meet!

Tampa Indie Author Book Convention

If you haven’t purchased tickets, make sure you do before the deadlines, or the prices go up.

Also, if you have paid, please send me your info so I can add you to the site. This is super important, so readers know who they can expect to see when they come to the convention. (Also, it’s more exposure.)

It’s coming down to the wire, and soon we’re going to be full!

Can’t wait to see you all, it’s going to be an amazing, and very different experience.

U.S. Blogging Event Details, Poll

Whaaatt?? A blog event in my home town? Yaass!

*Comments disabled here. Please respond on original post*

A Joyful Process

The U.S. Blogging Event committee would like to thank those of you who voted for a location for this meeting of bloggers. If you are unaware, Chicago, Illinois was the city that was chosen to hold the inaugural event. It will be similar to the Bloggers Bash that has been held in London for a couple years.

Please note that the date of this event has been changed to Saturday, August 26, 2017; it’s a week earlier than the September 2, 2017 date that was previously set. At this time, we need as many bloggers as possible to let the committee know if you would like to attend. We need a firm number on attendance in order to find a place to hold the event. The committee has several places in mind, but want to get an idea of how many people will attend before booking one of those places.

To find…
