I was blessed to come in contact with an organization called Black Rewrite, which focused on amplifying and celebrating narratives of Black and Brown authors. They dedicate space for Black authors each week, and I am honored to be featured this week!
At Black Rewrite, they provide space for authors to share their work, and I would be delighted if you could check out my article, “American History X,” on the site. Please be sure to like, share, and comment if you choose and share with your Black author friends!
Here’s the link to the piece. Thanks so much!

Done! Keep doing what you’re doing. You’re awesome. 🙂

Hi Yecheilyah,
My name is Lynne Moses and I’ve been following your blog for some time now as both Lynne Moses and my pen name, Kady Ambrose. As you can see from my comments, I’m a big fan.
I publish my comments publicly in an effort to be supportive and to let the algorithms know you’re creating engagement. I might be way off base here, and please correct me if I am, but it has also occurred to me that you might prefer me to send them privately until you have a larger group of Black and Brown commenters. From things you’ve written, it seems they are (understandably) the readers you’re most passionate about reaching and my disproportionate presence in your comments might not contribute to making the space as inviting as you’d ideally like to see. I’m more about listening than speaking in real life Black and Brown spaces and worry about appearing to be doing the opposite in your virtual space.
Either way, I am rooting for your success with your mission and your writing/publishing career. I benefit greatly from your teachings on history and the Black experience, as well as from your advice on indie publishing. I hope to publish my first novel by the end of the year, so find your publishing and marketing suggestions super relevant and helpful.
Let me know your preference for my commenting etiquette and I will happily comply.
Warmest wishes,
Lynne

Good Day, Lynne
I am most appreciative of your support, but I have to agree that you are way off base to say that I might prefer to send these comments privately until I have a larger group of Black and Brown commenters.
That is not the case at all. I am passionate about teaching ALL people.
☝🏾For clarity. I do write to restore Black Historical Truth. This means that my primary audience is Black people. I make no apologies about that. ➡️ However, this does not, in any way, mean I do not support ALL people.
💡My chief objective here is to first awaken the lost tribes of my people and then to the nations.
➡️ This means that while I will approach Black people first, this does not mean that I am alienating others. That would be a contradictory to my mission.
☝🏾The purpose of my writing is to create bridges of commonality for ALL people through the restoration of Black Historical Truth.
🤗I appreciate your support and you may very well continue as you were. That is, sharing your thoughts and support publicly if you so wish.

Hi Yecheilyah,
So, thought that last reply email was private, but appears not. Awkward, but a learning experience!
I absolutely understand that you’re writing for all audiences and have never gotten a different impression. Just that, as you said, approaching Black people first. 🙂
I was concerned about taking up too much space here, but if you’re cool with it, great! I’ll continue posting publicly unabated.
Warmest wishes,
Lynne
