I learned a lot about the pre-colonial Africans when I visited St. Augustin, FL during their 450 years of the African American series they had in 2014. There is a ton of information out there just waiting for us to discover, because we won’t be taught about it in school.

Hey Lisa, thank you for the link. One interesting thing I have noticed is that (either from books, movies, TV Shows) we never hear about who we were before slavery. There is over 4,000 years of both black and biblical history we know nothing about.

It is shame that it isn’t taught in school, but we know that it will never be. It is up to parents, clergy and mentors to teach the youth and each other so that we can be informed. That’s why your Stella series is important.
